After two years abroad, I am back to my home-country! I have to confess that I missed the kindness of my people, the sun shinning near every day, the beautiful beaches, the sort of fruits, my mother's food, the carioca cosmopolitan life-style and I do not have to mention my family and friends!

Despite having missed all the things mentioned above, now is time to miss the things I had in Europe, as the politeness of the people, having all the seasons well defined and learning how to enjoy the qualities of each, the sort of chocolate and cheese, the routine of a small city, the friends I made there and in especial, my dear boyfriend...

I dedicate this post to the pictures of places I had visited in the first month back to Rio de Janeiro, with my boyfriend Timo, and to start a session of nostalgic posts from trips I made in Europe, before I get back. Hope you will enjoy it!!

Depois de dois anos fora, estou de volta ao meu país de origem! Eu tenho que confessar que senti falta do calor-humano do meu povo, o sol brilhando todo dia, as bonitas praias, a variedade de frutas, a comida da minha mãe e o estilo carioca cosmopolita de ser, sem precisar mencionar minha família e amigos!

Apesar de ter sentido falta de todas as coisas citadas acima, agora é a hora de sentir falta das coisas que eu tive na Europa, como as boas maneiras do povo, ter todas as estações do ano bem definidas e com isso aprender a aproveitar as qualidades de cada uma, a variedade de chocolate e queijo, a rotina de uma cidade pequena, os amigos que fiz lá e, em especial, meu querido namorado...

Eu dedico esta postagem para as fotos de lugares que visitei neste primeiro vez de volta ao Rio de Janeiro, com meu namorado Timo, e começar uma sessão de postagens naustágicas de viagens que fiz na Europa, antes de voltar. Espero que vocês gostem!

Well-heeled luminaries from fashion, Hollywood and the arts crowd gathered in Manhattan on Monday night for the 2011 Met Gala, hosted annually by Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour (inspiration of the main character in the movie The Devil Wears Prada) and more formally known as the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala Benefit.

After the stunning entrance of Kate Middleton in a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress, the Metropolitan Museum of Art payed its own tribute to McQueen, the late fashion icon who took his own life in February of last year.

The Costume Institute Gala exhibit, called "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty," explored the designer's "dark romanticism and his complicated attraction to female power, the grotesque and the historical," as Robin Givhan putted it in the Daily Beast.

Uma multidão de famosos e abastados da moda, de Hollywood e das artes se reuniu em Nova York na noite de segunda-feira para o Met Gala 2011, organizado anualmente pela editora-chefe da revista Vogue Anna Wintour (a inspiração do personagem principal no filme O Diabo Veste Prada) e, mais formalmente conhecido como o Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Benefit Gala.

Após a entrada deslumbrante de Kate Middleton em seu vestido de casamento by Sarah Burton para Alexander McQueen, o Metropolitan Museum of Art deu seu tributo a McQueen, o recente ícone da moda, que tirou a própria vida em fevereiro do ano passado.

A exposição de Gala do Instituto, chamada "Alexander McQueen: Beleza Selvagem," explorou "o romantismo negro e sua complicada atração para poder feminino, o grotesco e o histórico", segundo o designer Robin Givhan  que postou a frase acima no Daily Beast.

Quem disse que homem não curte moda?! (who says men don't like fashion?!)

Who says men don't like fashion?! Yes, they do! So, I dedicate this post to my male followers, who love being fashionable and up with the last trends! 

1) Stripes, plaids, shorts, transparency and hats 

2) Floral Prints /Stripes/ Plaids - Watch for seductive combination of jacket and shirt- the inseparable duo of the season (stripes x plaids). Beg on the elegant world of sailing with the return of navy and white stripes and nautical motifs in red (the key color of this season). Plaids in all shades of red, blue and white (navy colors) is also a good wager!

3) Lace and Transparency - This is a trend that every man should embrace... but that must be used very carefully!!     

4) Shorts (20 cm over the knee) - It is cool, sexy and believe or not, sophisticated! Go for the basic and light colors from white, off-white, beige, khaki to gray! Also detonated light denim and rose if you are bolder! The bottom most match to striped/ navy blue/rose tops!

Accessories: 

5) Maxi-bags and cool backpacks - Bags are must for this season. Canvas might be the go to the textile, but a little fake leather (as you know, I am against the real leather) in stitching and pairings of bright and dark colors to add a cool look to the accessory. 

6) Hats - You can wear this during any occasion (specially while the day is clear) and  also you will definitely show your confidence and sleek style. Not only will it look great on your head, but the ladies will more than likely dig your hat!! Choose the ones made of straw or woven in the colors of the season.

7) Woven belts - (must have in your Spring wardrobe) - team with chinos or jeans for a relaxed casual style. Stay on trend with fake leather strap sandals. (please, avoid the Gladiator ones!!!).

Viaje no elegante mundo de velejar com o retorno da tendência náutica com listras brancas e motivos marítimos em vermelho (a cor coringa da temporada). Xadrezes em todos os tons de vermelho, azul e banco (cores da marinha) também é uma aposta boa!

Foto 4) Shorts (20 cm acima do joelho) - É legal, sensual e acredite se quiser, sofisticado! Escolha as cores básicase claras, que vão do branco, off-white, bege, cáqui e cinza. Também o jeans claro detonado e o rosa para os mais ousados. A parte-de-baixo combina camisas listradas ou nas cores azul-marinho ou rosa.

Foto 5) Bolsas grandes e mochilas modernas - As bolsas masculinas são o top desta temporada . Canvas será o material da estação, assim como o couro-sintético (Como vocês sabem, sou contra couro animal) em costuras e detalhes de cores claras ou escuras, dando um contraste e adicionando um charme ao acessório.

Foto 6) Chapéus - Você pode usá-lo durante qualquer ocasião (especialmente enquanto o dia estiver claro) você também irá, definitivamente, mostrar auto-confiança através de um estilo sofisticado . O chapéu não só dará um estilo ao seu visual, como as mulheres provavelmente irão querer tirá-lo de sua cabeça!! Escolha os feitos em palha ou tecido nas cores da estação.

Foto 7) Cintos de tecido -(melhor aquisição no guarda-roupas de Primavera) - combine com uma sarja ou jeans para um estilo casual descontraído. Mantenha-se em alta, com sandália de couro- sintético. (por favor, evite as estilo 'Gladiator').
